PC Richard Gray was shot in the line of duty.
He was a brave colleague who died unnecessarily doing his job.

Thank You
On behalf of our family, I would like to say Thank You for your kind messages of condolence and prayers, which have given the family comfort and strength. Richards premature passing will leave a permanent vast void in our hearts and lives.
Richard and our niece Jennifer shared a truly good marriage/partnership for 17 years, based on empathy, understanding, kindness and a deep love for each other.
Richard was a proud Scotsman but chose to spend his life working for this small isle of Great Britain, a united Britain, firstly with the Black Watch then with the Police Force, with dedication and courage. His example to each and every one of us SHOULD not and WILL not be forgotten.

Another sad loss
May you rest in peace and your family take solace in the fact that you are so well thought of. I too served in the army and decided to join the job when I left. I did`nt know you but I would have been proud to serve with you and have you watch my back. Stand easy Richard.

For Ricky Gray
A real hero- thoughts to family & freinds of this brave man. Such a senseless waste of a life obviously very much dedicated to protecting others.
